Want to Know That You're Buying the Best?
Penske quality preventive maintenance programs ensure every vehicle is in top condition.
We make sure you get the best from our products. Our vehicle maintenance ensures the performance of every truck, tractor and trailer we sell.
Preventive Maintenance
We buy our vehicles new, so the entire vehicle life is with Penske or a Penske leasee. One owner means you never have to question vehicle quality. We have an extensive preventive maintenance program that even includes performing federal annual inspections more frequently than the annual requirement.
Check out our average preventive maintenance intervals for each vehicle:
- Tractors: 30,000 miles or 90 days (whichever comes first)
- Mid-range trucks: 20,000 miles or 120 days (whichever comes first)
- Light-duty vehicles: 6,000-8,000 miles or 120 days (whichever comes first)
- Dry van and flatbed trailers: twice a year
- Refrigerated trailers: 90 days
ServiceNetSM
ServiceNetSM, our proprietary shop management system, captures services performed on every vehicle. This takes the guesswork out of the buying process. And you have online access to the history of the vehicle you plan to purchase.
Engine B50 Life
B50 is the estimated mileage at which the engine manufacturer expects 50 percent of the engines to fail or require major repairs. Most of our vehicles are sold at less than 60 percent of B50, so a good portion of the original engine life remains.
Oil and Coolant Analysis
At every preventive maintenance interval, we perform an oil analysis. This allows early detection and prevents the need for major engine repairs. We also do a coolant sampling every year to prevent leaks and other cooling system problems. We only use extended life coolant in our vehicles.
Horsepower and Torque
We program most of our vehicle engines at specifications that optimize vehicle performance and fuel efficiency.
