Getting Started

It's easy to get started. Just complete the registration form and follow the instructions to register.

The Buying Process:

Get peace of mind knowing your purchase is in road-ready condition thanks to our thorough vehicle maintenance and rigorous used vehicle prep process.

  1. Browse our used vehicles for sale for a listing of equipment for sale or contact your Penske Used Truck Representative.
  2. When you find the used truck that meets your needs, submit an offer online or contact us.
  3. Once an offer is agreed upon, send your payment to the appropriate Penske location.
  4. A Penske associate will contact you to complete the sale, guiding you through the entire process.

Register a New User

Once you register with PenskeUsedTrucks.com, you can begin purchasing and requesting inspections for our inventory of trucks, tractors and trailers.

To Register:

  1. Select Register from the login page to create a new account.
  2. Read the Penske Used Trucks Terms and Conditions.
  3. Select Accept to agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  4. Enter your information on the registration form and select Register to complete your registration.
  5. From now on, simply enter your member ID and password each time you visit Penske Used Trucks.

Note: All the fields marked with a red asterisk (*) are required. Wholesale Customers and Penske Truck Leasing Field Managers will be informed through e-mail when their account is activated, but can start using the site immediately as a Retail Customer.

Forgot Your Password?

  1. If you forget your password, you have two options—to receive a password hint or to reset your password.
  2. To request the password hint you entered at registration, select view your password hint from the login page. When prompted, enter your Member Logon ID.
  3. If you still don't recall your password, select the second option, reset your password.
  4. Your new password will be sent to the e-mail address you entered when you registered.

Security Warning: Since your password will be sent in unscrambled text over an insecure channel (electronic mail), we strongly recommend that you immediately change your password upon receiving the email.

Search Inventory

  1. From the Vehicle Search Page select a category—Trucks, Tractors, Trailers or by Unit Number from the drop-down menu. Select the Start Searching button.
  2. To narrow your search, select one, all, or any combination of criteria. Hold down the control key to select multiple values for these fields.
    • Criteria for trucks:
      • Vehicle Type
      • Non-CDL < 26,000 GVW or CDL > 26,000 GVW
      • Vehicle Make
    • Criteria for tractors:
      • Sleeper/Non-sleeper
      • Number of Drive Axles
    • Criteria for trailers:
      • Vehicle Type
      • Vehicle Length
  3. Choose the number of matches you would like to display in Results per Page.
  4. Select Search or Reset to clear your selected criteria from the form.
  5. Select any column heading to sort the table data by that category.
  6. At the bottom of the page, select > to move to the next page of listings.
  7. From the inventory listing of matches, follow the Unit Number link to view that vehicle's details.

View Search Results

To Search for a Vehicle:

  1. Select Search Inventory.
  2. To narrow your search, select one, all, or any combination of search criteria by choosing your preferences from the drop-down menus next to each criterion.
  3. Choose the number of matches you would like on your results page by selecting on the drop-down menu next to Results per Page.
  4. Select Search or Reset to clear your selected criteria from the form.

To View Your Search Results:

  1. After a successful search, a detailed list of vehicles matching your search will be displayed.
  2. Select any column heading to sort the table data by that category.
  3. Select > at the bottom of the page to move to the next page of listings.
  4. Select any underlined Unit Number in the inventory list to view that vehicle's details or check multiple vehicles and select Compare to retrieve more than one.
  5. From the Truck/Tractor/Trailer details page, you can:
    • View a vehicle thumbnail image, if available
    • Select the Back button to go to the previous page
    • Make an Offer or Schedule an Inspection

Buying Used Trucks

To Make an Offer Online:

  1. You must be logged into the site as a registered user to make an offer.
  2. From the individual vehicle detail page, select the Make an Offer link on the bottom of the page.
  3. If you are comparing vehicles, select the vehicle(s) via checkbox and select Add to Bid Group.
  4. From the Bid Group, check vehicle(s) you wish to bid on.
  5. Enter your desired purchase date.
  6. Enter the amount of your bid.
  7. Select Submit to enter your bid.

To Make an Offer by Phone:

  1. Contact Us to find the Penske Used Truck representative in your area.
  2. They will guide you through the bidding and buying process.

To Schedule an Inspection:

  1. From the vehicle detail page, select Schedule Inspection.
  2. For your convenience, your user name is populated.
  3. Enter the date and time you request for the inspection.
  4. Our Internet coordinator will handle the rest and contact you to confirm your appointment.
